Kreeda Games’ danceMELA won ‘Outstanding Indian Content Award in Online Mass Multiplayer Games’ category at BAF awards

Kreeda Games’ danceMELA, India’s first online mass multiplayer dancing game, has won the prestigious ‘Outstanding Indian Content Award in Online Mass Multiplayer Games category’ at Best Animated Frames (BAF) awards presented at FICCI Frames.

The award recognises and felicitates outstanding Indian content in various sectors including online mass multiplayer games category,introduced for the first time in BAF Awards this year.

Launched by Kreeda Games, in Nov 2007, danceMELA is a pure song and dance game with the latest bollywood and international music tracks and all the coolest and funky dance moves programmed in. Players get to select and customize their 3D avatars, with which they can chat, socialize, shop and of course dance with friends or take on people across India live. danceMELA is suitable for the Indian market. It easily runs on low-end machines and does not need very high Internet bandwidth and can also be played on dial-up connections. Being a 3D animated game the basic requirement is installation of graphic card. As the Game data constitutes of 600 MB, the space accommodated on hard disk will be 600MB. The game will have no problems with “Lag” as it remains connected even 30secs of “Lag”. The game can be also played through a dance mat, which will be connected to the computer taking the game out of the PC and making it an interactive exercise and fun machine.

This again shows the importance of animation & gaming industry in India and the reputation it is gaining day by day. There can be 100 Apurva Shah from among the common masses, creating interactive movies, games and winning awards at BAF & Oscars...
